Food and Hospitality Founders Share Founder Stories
What happens when you ask successful company founders to tell their stories in under 5 minutes?
After a bit of reflection and some coaching, you get short audio stories that quickly deliver meaningful insights and compelling narratives.
We recently sat down with a group of entrepreneurs in the food and hospitality industry, as part of Northwood Retail’s Backstory Beginnings podcast series. Each of these experienced leaders founded or runs a restaurant, bar, or other eateries that have a distinctive vision and unique customer experience. Some of their food concepts have been successfully rolled out across the country, while others have become popular local gathering places.
We were amazed at the variety of origin stories we heard - from a path to sobriety, to a pivot from art school, and a new direction discovered in retirement. But, all of the stories shared one common feature - a personal connection to the food and a passion to create a community around that food.
